With the tap of a key, the font adjusts to three
additional sizes. Students simply press the “Font

Word Prediction
with WordStorm
WordStorm word prediction is now available to help those
with spelling and keyboarding challenges. With a tap of the
“Word Prediction” key, students will activate this special
program and access the prediction list. WordStorm is a
powerful and comprehensive prediction program. You and
you’re students will love the accuracy and options
available.

All Fusion units can be upgraded with WordStorm through the
Compact Flash memory expansion port.
Memory Expansion Port
Every Fusion is equipped with a Compact Flash memory
expansion port. Your Fusion has virtually unlimited memory
capacity! This expansion port can be used for program
additions and upgrades as well as easy data back-up and data
transfer to a home or lab computer. Compact Flash cards as
well as compact flash reader/writers are available
inexpensively through AKT Inc.
Organized, Focused Work Environment
Students simply log in to access their password protected
desktop.
Named files and named folders along with instructional
applications
are all available for quick and easy access. The heading at the
top
identifies quick options along with the student, the file and
the date.

Easy Wireless File Transfer – Just like the Writer, Fusion file
transfer is quick, easy and accurate.
Simply plug an infrared receiver into any Mac or PC, open any
word processing document (or any text box), point and press
“Send”. No software to load. Nothing to configure.
Auto Headings - Files sent to the computer or printer appear
with a complete automatic heading. The heading includes the
student name, teacher name, file name and the date. This is a
huge organizational help to both the student and the instructor.
If you’d like to send only the text, simply press the “Option”
key before pressing send.
Good Writing Checklists –Fusion has 6 on-board writing
checklists for your students to choose from. (Teachers can
create their own customized checklists).
On-board

Keyboard Instruction
Fusion will soon include Key Academy, AKT’s powerfully effective
keyboard
Instruction program. Key Academy is a very structured and strict
keyboarding program.
Only Key Academy includes patented “Technique Builder” software.
“Technique Builder” requires students to utilize proper hand
position and proper shift key technique throughout each lesson.
Students move forward in their lesson set only if they reach
very specific, pre-set benchmarks.
Fusion with Key Academy is designed to deliver brief (15
minutes) daily practice. It’s this structured, daily program
that is the key to a very successful program.
